NVCSS offers three options for configuring patrol service:

• Recurring: Monthly billing
• Short-Term: Weekly billing
• Temporary: Daily billing

Choosing a longer-term plan gets you better savings.

We offer two types of discounts for recurring patrol service:

• Term Discounts — Applied when you commit to a longer service term (3, 6, or 12 months)
• ‍Billing Discounts — Applied when you choose fewer payments (quarterly, semiannual, or annual)

Both of these discounts stack together for a larger overall discount.

Longer term, fewer invoices, better rates.

We typically recommend a minimum of three patrols per day, though some sites may be okay with fewer depending on their individual needs.

Choosing more frequent patrols improves your site's security and overall pricing.

Randomized patrol times are one of the most effective ways to deter crime. By avoiding predictable patterns, patrols make it harder for bad actors to anticipate security activity.

How It Works

For each patrol, you’ll set a target time.

Each patrol's target time is used to calculate its arrival window — in other words, the earliest and latest a patrol can begin.

For example, if you select a target time of 12:00 PM:

• 4-hour range ➔ 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM
• 2-hour range ➔ 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM
• 1-hour range ➔ 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM

Choosing the Right Window

Wider windows increase unpredictability and deterrence. Narrower windows offer tighter scheduling — ideal if you need patrols aligned with operational activities.

By default, each patrol lasts 10 minutes, with a 10-minute buffer period, bringing the total duration to 20 minutes.

10-20 minutes is usually sufficient for most situations. However, if your property is large or has unique requirements, you may want to upgrade to a longer patrol duration to avoid potential overage fees.
