Get straight answers to the questions every client should ask — and a few most don't.
Vehicle patrols are our flagship service and primary offering; its highly flexible nature allows us to deliver premium protection without the exorbitant expense.
Apart from vehicle patrols, we do offer additional services to select clientele on a per-case basis. Unlike other security providers, we only accept assignments we can properly staff — we'll never rush our hiring process to fill empty positions.
Always ask how, not just what. Security companies live and die on specificity.
It can be hard to decide which security provider is right for you because they all make similar claims — professional training, background checks, quality equipment — but the real difference is in how these are actually implemented. What's considered truly "professional" or "quality" can be highly subjective.
Unscrupulous services often use weasel words to mislead clients into believing what they offer is better than it actually is. Digging deeper into the specifics helps ensure you'll get what you've been promised.
"Security is an easy job — anyone can do it."
Public perception, often shaped by outdated media portrayals, commonly underestimates the skill and preparation required for professional security work in the modern era.
Civil Security Service does not use a "guard tour" system, and we strongly caution against using companies that rely on them — or portray them as a client benefit.
NVCSS has evaluated numerous guard tour systems and found that they are all unacceptably flawed. The nature of these systems do not align with our goal of providing the highest quality services possible.
Clients can verify service through high-quality daily patrol logs and incident reports, which are significantly more detailed than industry norms.
Additionally, all recurring service plans come with a free cancellation period. If you're dissatisfied for any reason within the first 28 days of service, you can cancel the remainder of the term without penalty; any unbilled prepaid funds will also be returned to you in full.
Civil Security Service is guided by a commitment to honor and integrity as outlined by the Christian faith. We believe that an objective standard of morality is necessary to prevent misconduct and abuse.
All of our services and policies were developed with the teachings of Christ and the Word of God in mind. These values also guide our decisions and ensure that services are delivered ethically and fairly.
All security companies in the State of Nevada are legally required to maintain an active insurance policy at all times, with at least $100,000 in liability coverage. Civil Security Service is fully licensed and insured, with all required security registrations and liability coverage.
Civil Security Service is insured for ten times the required minimum; up to $1 million per incident, plus a $2 million general aggregate. Documentation is available upon request.
NVCSS has the most advanced patrol vehicle setup in northern Nevada, far exceeding other security providers. Here are just some of the benefits you can expect:
Mobile security officers patrol numerous sites, each with specific requirements and public safety challenges.
As part of our premium patrol service, NVCSS officers are trained and equipped to address dangerous situations. We ensure they have the necessary tools to respond to threats, and the service pistol is a necessary part of that.
In any emergency situation, our first priority will be to notify emergency services and get help en route to the location. After that, what officers do will depend on the nature of the emergency.
Whatever the case may be, NVCSS officers are trained so they don't succumb to the "bystander effect," e.g. freezing up or standing around doing nothing.
Civil Security Service is a premium security provider and our rates are representative of the quality we deliver.
Unlike other security providers, we openly publish our rates to make your decision-making process an easy, transparent experience. We focus solely on being the most professional option available — not the largest or cheapest.
At NVCSS, protecting your privacy is both a professional commitment and a legal obligation.
Under Nevada law, NRS 648.200 makes unauthorized disclosure of client information a criminal offense — a law that many security companies overlook or ignore.
NVCSS officers have some limited powers, but only under specific conditions prescribed by law.
The primary source of authority for security officers comes from Nevada's legal recognition of private person's arrests and the right of private property owners to grant and revoke access at will.
While arrest powers are available to all Nevadans (security or otherwise), the power to control access to private property can only be exercised as directed by a contracting client.
Unlike companies that rely on the minimum state requirements, Civil Security Service goes further.
NVCSS prioritizes thorough, manual background verification wherever possible. We also maintain our own public safety curriculum and qualification criteria for all officers, with recurring training requirements at higher ranks.
We're constantly updating and improving the quality of information we provide.
