The founder of Civil Security Service has become the latest member of the private intelligence network, enabling more proactive security for communities throughout the region.

RENO, NEVADA — Civil Security Service (NVCSS), a private patrol agency serving the Reno-Sparks area, is positioned to operate with greater efficiency and proactive service after its founder, Andy Ng, was inducted into the Northern Nevada Security Directors Association (NNSDA). The NNSDA is a private intelligence network that shares privileged information among its vetted public and private sector members across the United States.
"Being part of the NNSDA network helps us operate with greater efficiency," says Ng. "Thanks to increased access to critical data, Civil Security Service personnel will be able to serve our communities even more proactively. I couldn't be more grateful to Chairman Hill for this opportunity."
Highly private and extremely selective, the NNSDA primarily serves as a fusion network for public safety and crime intelligence. It operates similarly to NTAC, but has a far broader mandate — in addition to statewide and national threat intelligence, members receive local crime bulletins, including "BOLO" reports for outstanding persons of interest and "hot sheets" for wanted vehicles. Data is rapidly disseminated thanks to the NNSDA's partnerships with numerous public safety agencies, such as the Reno and Sparks Police Departments, Washoe County Sheriff's Office, and the Department of Homeland Security.
Due to the sensitive nature of its operations, the NNSDA maintains a closed membership policy with no online presence. Prospective members may be invited by existing members, but all are personally vetted and approved by executive leadership. Its current membership includes security directors for major companies and members of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies like the United States Secret Service and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Civil Security Service is a private patrol agency offering premium security services throughout the Reno-Sparks area. The organization is led and managed by Andy Ng, a public safety expert and security professional with over 10 years of experience. Following a recent highly sensitive security operation, Ng received a personal invitation to join the NNSDA from Chairman Dean Hill, who also serves as Director of Security at Peppermill Resort Spa Casino.
"I immediately accepted Chairman Hill's gracious offer," says Ng. "It was an honor to be invited by the Chairman himself.
"The NNSDA represents professionals who care about providing truly effective public safety service — his leadership in the region has set the bar for professional training and interagency cooperation."
"I firmly believe that there's no such thing as too much information," Ng continues. "Many private security companies operate with little to no meaningful intelligence and get caught off-guard at the worst possible moments. People do get hurt because of this.
"Being prepared means being aware. Membership with the NNSDA is perfectly aligned with our commitment to professionalism and quality service."
